A Toad

A toad lives out in our back yard.

He's hungry as can be,

And with his sticky tongue, each night,

He catches pests for me.

He eats the slugs that nibble plants,

The flies and cutworms, too.

He even eats mosquitoes who

Might otherwise eat you.
